I have just finished a complete installation document for Microsoft SCCM 2007 R2. The installation is done on Windows Server 2008 32bit and uses a Microsoft SQL 2005 database server. As I tried to find a conclusive document on the net and wasn’t able to find a complete set I decided to create one. In this article I will describe the complete installation including all pre-requisites.

 

A complete SCCM 2007 R2 installation requires some additional tasks to simply installing the software. Therefore I have divided the article into different parts. All parts together will result in a working SCCM 2007 R2 installation.

Hopefully you will find these articles usefull. After the complete installation as discribed you will have a working SCCM 2007 R2 installation. Of course there is a lot of configuration that needs to be done but I am already working on a basic configuration article in which I will explain how to configure SCCM 2007 R2 with basic functionality like basic discovery options and client deployments. Some more advanced configuration, like OS deployment, will also be addressed.
